I had a ton of uterus and ovary problems during my time on Tamoxifen (about six months) I eventually had to get my entire reproductive tract removed and just went on AIs.

I had no spotting. But the lining of my uterine wall changed on scans. Then a trans vaginal ultrasound was done. Further warranting a biopsy. My GYN tried in the office to biopsy but because my cervix wouldn't let anything in we did it in the OR under anesthesia. Tamoxifen creates all kinds of strange changes. Stay well informed and on top of it. It will even effect your sex life. Your body goes through some tough changes with all the treatment for cancer it is crazy.

I was on tamoxifen for 3 years, now on an AI. I had spotting a couple of times and was given the same advice. Both times I went to see an ob-gyn (referred by my onc). In one case he performed an endometrial biopsy to make sure there were no abnormal cells in the uterine wall; there were not. In the other case, he examined and found nothing unusual. I've also had tranvaginal ultrasound done. It's worth making the call. While spotting can happen and may not be cause for alarm, it can be a sign of problems as well. The transition into menopause is a pretty unpredictable thing, and tamoxifen complicates it a bit, so don't hesitate to call and see what your onc thinks. Better to be safe than worried or worse!

Oh yeah. When I had the biopsy they did do that to. It was good because the found fibroid tissue. It was a good thing.

Im on tamoxifen also but hVe been through menapose, i did see oncologist gynecologist who told me if i had any bleeding 2 contact them immediately not sure if because im don'with my menstruating or if it could be a issue ..... after 3rd mth i started with slight discharge i called was referrd 2 regular gyn which he checked me & said everything was fine ..not sure if i was any help If it were me i would contact your dr just 2 be sure alls good God Bless prayers & hugs sent ur way💖Lisa 💖
