I changed from Letrozole, terrible joint etc to Anastrozole. The difference was amazing. I went from days in bed to living a proper life. Not totally pain free but so much better xxxxx

I switched from Letrozole to Anastrozole as I couldn't cope with the pain of the side effects. The Anastrozole is working much better, just a bit of joint pain in my hands, so much better. No weight gain either xx

Hope I'm as lucky as you! Stopped the letrozole on my Dec. birthday did not let my doc know tho called her and asked for another drug to try to see if I get less side effects so I start anastrozole this week! Fingers & toes crossed. Done with letrozole 2 years & side effects were horrible!

I may switch to evista or tamoxifen.. will ask.. probably all hormone blockers make you gain weight. they make you age! skin, hair, mood swings, aches and pains. I did gain weight fast after losing 60 lbs from chemo! gained 12 lbs already. hormones keep you young. but cancer likes hormones. so they say.

the whole hormone thing is confusing.. was told a little hormone is good but too much is bad and that cancer thrives on hormones. makes me wonder if they know what they're talking about. @hormones @blockers

I am on Tamoxifen. I gained 35 pounds in a year. ugh! I also get really bad leg cramps, my bones /joints hurt and always fatigued. I started on the meds last September and have 9 more years to go. I hope you have better success on another medication.
