I am doing my second AC tomorrow.
Wondering what kind of SE you had.
Then I will start Taxol - how does it compare to AC?

I was Est/Pro positive Her2Neu negative with a very low Oncotype score. When the cancer reappeared one year later in 2 of my lymph nodes, I did the chemo light, which is cytoxine and taxoter. From all of my research, it is supposed to be just as effective as the AC-T, but not as harsh. I am not a doctor, so I can't say what is best for any patient, especially those that are Her2Neu positive. I do know that my doctor never offered this as an option for me until I presented the information to him which he agreed to without an argument.

AC is rougher than Taxol. Lots of fatigue. Loss of hair of course. Dry skin. Crazy but my fingernails got long and strong and I never could grow nails😮. Also, my facial skin got extremely smooth.
I had most problems with the darn expanders and the pain they caused. Worse than chemo.
You will be fine. Keep your faith in God. That goes a long way💗🙏

Also.... with my bone pain they increased my dexamethasone which I used as a naseau med. It gave me 85% relief that nothing else would touch.

I found Taxol to be much more tolerable than the AC treatments. With the AC I was Sooo tired, nothing tasted good, lost my appetite, etc. I started with 12 weeks, every week of Taxol and Herceptin, which I tolerated quite well. No real side effects. Then 4 rounds of AC over 8 weeks, which were tougher, as I mentioned.

Have you asked your doctor about chemo light which is cytoxine and taxoter? There is a lot of research out there on C/T as opposed to ACT.
