I am right had IDC a and DCIS in 4 tumors in my left Breast . My right breast was Cancer free.

I had IDC and DCIS in left and DCIS in right. So 2 different kinds even though DCIS is considered precancer

I had ILC and IDC in same breast. ILC is found in other breast 30% of the time. One of my tumors was her2+, the other was not. One was seen on mammogram, the ILC was not (only found on MRI). I kept my other breast. I figured I had a 70% chance of it remaining cancer free. That was 7 years ago. I had chemo only, since nodes were negative.

Thank you Quon. It is rare to have two different types in one breast and it is rare to have it in both breasts. there is not much out there on either instance. My doctor choose to treat me as if it was ILC only because that is the more rare out of ILC and IDC, respectively.

I had both IDC and ILC in the same breast. I did not realize at first that it was unusual and wondered why this site (MyBCT) did let me choose BOTH in my profile. I did have radiation and opted not to have brachytherapy (where the radiation seeds are implanted) because I found a study from Anderson Cancer Center in Texas that stated that brachytherapy was not studied on women with more than one type of cancer. That's the extent of my research so far on having two types in one breast.
