Oh I am so not doing a fake nipple. I want something pretty too! I have been looking into different designs as well, and have a pinterest board full. Just remember, be patient. It may be a few months after reconstruction before you can do a piece because of scar healing. There are a good number of artists who specialize in this as well, and one organization called p-ink. Good luck, I just scheduled my exchange for November 5,and am so anxious to be done with these rock hard expanders.

I have a tattoo and love it. It is kind of 3D giving the effect of a nipple and areola (sp). the nipple implant did not stay "perky" but the tattoo is great. I looked at all the Pinterest tattoos and thought about butterflies and others but in the end a nipple that matched my "real" one seemed appropriate.

I'm totally with you! I am about a month out from my exchange surgery. Opted for no nipples, but would like to do some sort of tattoo...I've heard that some insurances actually cover the tattooing.
