I finished 6 sessions of chemo and am currently on maintenance infusions of herceptin and perjeta. No they just actually move your pants down a little... I typically wore yoga pants so they didn't have to worry about a zipper.
My first visit they put little tattoo markers and when I'd go in it literally took 7 mins. The Dr basically described it as a high impact X-ray. The only pain I had during radiation was and it was very little almost like a tender to the touch back almost like when you have a sunburn. I hope you do get relief!!! God Bless!
I had radiation on my lower back and spine because I had tumors there and within 3 sessions of radiation my pain was gone! My first round of chemo I had a lot of back pain and a lot people recommended Claritin for the pain. I never did try it but you might want to. I fortunately this go round do not have bone pain. I hope this helped :)
Anytime, I'm so glad I could help!!! God bless and good luck!!!!
Thanks so much for writing! How do they do radiation to the lower back? Did they have to pinpoint the tumors first or just send radiation to the general area? That would be amazing to get relief in three sessions. I forgot about the claritin but I can give that a try too. Thanks for your help! <3
