Has anyone used acupuncture to help with the joint pain and stiffness from their aromitase inhibitor? Just found out my insurance covers it and wondered if it's worth a try.

I started acupuncture after my first round or chemo. It helped me through both chemo and radiation and now helps with the side effexts not only of the hormone therapy but also helps with the psychological side effects. Even if insurance doesn't cover it , it is worth every penny

@A MyBCTeam Member I'm on Aromasin (exemestane). I had my ovaries removed in May to throw me into menopause so I could take it. I've been having stiff, achy joints and my fingers are swollen. I try to walk every day, see a massage therapist once a month and take Aleve when I need it.

I'm sure acupuncture would be of benefit. .. no harm to give it a try. . I will be interested to see how you do on the aromitase inhibitor...which one is it??
I haven't gotten there yet but presuming they will put me on one since I'm post menopausal.
