That is a myth. That is not how cancer works. Get the facts from your oncologist.

Don't go by what "you've always been told." Now is the time to buckle down and do some serious research from reputable websites. I am almost done with 18 weeks of chemo (TCHP) and bilateral mastectomy in 6 weeks, then radiation and herceptin for a year and tamoxofin for years after that. I am 44 and glad as hell they have meds and procedures to treat me. People belly ache about all the side effects - and they do suck - but its better than dying a slow painful death as cancer spreads throughout your body without treatment!

The American Cancer Society is a good source of info and their website is fairly easy to use.
