My hair stylist declined to perm my hair today. She said it was thinning, breaking and had not grown since my trim 2 months ago. She was afraid it would break off and her opinion was seconded by the owner of the salon. Have noticed more than usual coming out when I shampoo or comb my hair. Have been taking [[treatment:Tamoxifen:540f562a[[phone:8608758280000445]] 11:]] months. She suggested trying Biotin. Has anyone used this and @ what dosage?
I take Spironolactone and mine is growing regularly; I have been on Tamoxifen for 4 months.
I decided to try Biotin; I take one pill daily. I had thick hair before losing it while on chemo. It has grown back as thick as it was before. I think the Biotin has helped.
I am looking for something to try. I've also been on tamoxifen for 11 months and my hair is really thinning out.
Biotin will help hair grow faster and thicker. You can get this in a shampoo. Swanson Vitamins has a shampoo and conditioner with Biotin in it. I would see if you are deficient in any vitamins/minerals. There are certain vitamin and mineral deficiencies that will call hair loss. I would consult with your doctor.
