I wore those tank tops that have the self bras in them. All four of my drains fit in there and I'd wear regular shirt over it. It worked awesome.

I bought one of the post-mastectomy camisoles & honestly, it was a waste of $ for me. I was professionally sized before & they had me go up a size to account for post surgical swelling. It was still too tight in the wrong place. I had a right nipple sparing mx with an inframammary incision, so the camisole hit right at the incision. I ended up wearing tank tops and front zip/button tops and used the lanyard for my drains. I didn't like the plastic drains against my skin either, so I bought a cheap pack of little girl ankle socks & put them over my drains - it sounds weird, but worked perfectly. :)

I wear tank tops and safety pin those on there and then we're a button up shirt so no one can see the drains

I bought some tops with pockets, but they were a waste. I had on a compression wrap and just wore a lanyard too. Get some shirts that button up the front and once I could comfortably use my arm, I wore tank tops.

Heaven forbid I ever have to do drains again, but I didn't like the hoses againsy my skin either. I sleep hot anyway and they got sticky and yucky. That is a really good idea about the socks.
