I had to do four rounds of AC which were super super tough every three weeks. I had to follow that up with taxol 12 rounds once a week. The taxol has been easier than the AC was. My nurse had me get glutamine powder from a health store for the neuropathy but my dr also had me do 12 weeks instead of 8 because she found spreading them over a longer treatment period cut down on the neuropathy a lot. I started out taking the glutamine powder the first four days after chemo. I did that faithfully the first couple of doses but only use it periodically now and still no serious neuropathy I'll get a tingle every once in a while. The metallic taste has been bad, acid reflux, hot flashes, night sweats, nose bleeds( advised to used nose saline spray which helps a lot with the dryness and irritation). I've even noticed my hair started to grow back like the second or third round of chemo (taxol) my last one is this Tuesday. I haven't had any eyelash hair loss and my eyebrows only got thinner which I didn't mind because they're super thick normally.

Let me update I realized I did 8 rounds of chemo. I only did 4 rounds of Taxol and that kicked my but so if you can stop and of those rounds do it. If I had to do it all over again that may have been something I refused to do. But that was my thought. The worst part of the cancer for me.

With Taxol I missed my last 3 does due to neuropathy and being toxic form the med. Hurting all over, could not feel finger tips or toes, nausea, wish I could die that that point. Oncologist stop my Taxol at that point. My WBC count stated in the extreme low count also. I had my last does in July 2014. and still having problem with neuropathy.

I started having neuropathy right after my first taxol. After the third, my white blood cells dropped too far and they lowered it. The neuropathy decreased a lot. Dr said it is still effective. They are just making their best estimate on dosage based on height/weight if individual. It sounded like a routine adjustment

Well I don't have good news. I had 8 rounds of taxol with my last treatment being in January 2013. I still have neuropathy. It gets better and I am believing for it to go away completely but it is something that I have learned to live with.
