I'm on Aromasin and take Wellbutrin. In fact I take it because of the irritability that aromasin causes.

Hi, I am a long time user of wellbutrin too without any side effects. Med Onc. Is putting me on tomaxifen and effexor. My pharmacist is telling me that all antidepressants interfere with tomaxifen including effexor and I shouldn't be on any while on tomaxifen. It stops the tomaxifen from working correctly . I had tried Cymbalta once which is in the same class as effexor and it made me sick with the first dose. So I am very reluctant to try the effexor. Has anyone had any serious adverse effects while on effexor and tomaxifen?

I have taken Effexor with both Tamoxifen and Femara. It was a tremendous help with hot flashes.

I had been taking Wellbutrin for 15 years, but when I started on Tamoxifen, she switched me to Effexor, 225 mg/day, instead. Wellbutrin interferes with Tamoxifen, and it's more important to block the estrogen that feeds the cancer. Effexor works well for me, although for my depression and anxiety (long history), I also take Abilify and Xanax.

I was on both Tomoxifen and Effexor and didn't have any problems. The reason I was on Effexor was to control hot flashes.
