Anyone been on a higher dose than 75mg of Effexor for hot flashes? I'm on 187.5 for depression after my cancer diagnosis and then I heard it helps with hot flashes. I'm on Tamoxafin. I still get mild hot flashes at that amount of Effexor. My niece who also had bc but not on Tamox is using Effexor for hot flashes @ 75mg but it doesn't work at all.

I have depression and am on Tamoxifen and I take 225 mg/day. It's been over a year and I still have hot flashes, but not nearly as many as I did at the beginning. The dosage was recommended by my psychologist, and my onc is fine with it.

I am taking Gabapentin for my hot flashes. I still get a few during the day but not nearly as bad.
