Has anyone had issues after BC treatment? Anyone have thyroid biopsy? I am going to have to have a biopsy done for a 1cm nodule.

I thought the thyroid biopsy hurt more than the lung biopsy did. It was the numbing shots that hurt and I was sore for days. The lung biopsy was scarier. It had to be done at a hospital as an out patient. They give you a sedative but I was awake the whole time. I had to be very still during and after the procedure. About 30% of lung biopsies cause collapsed lungs. I was lucky that didn't happen. I still have a constant cough. It started right after my radiation treatments ended but they still think it's due to reflux.

I've had both a lung and thyroid biopsy due to nodules found during a chest x-ray when I had a bad cough. Both were negative although they're still watching them. Once you have cancer you're watched closely. Nodules are pretty common and most people don't even know they have them. I know it's scary because we can't say "it won't happen to me" anymore. I hope it's nothing!
