I am also hesitant to start on meds and am first trying talk therapy. I'll Keep you posted.

I am on Arimidex but have similar problems. Just don't feel the same and convinced it's lack of estrogen. I was prescribes an antidepressent but had terrible headaches the first week so decided tjey are not for me. Being active helps and avoiding the little things that now annoy me helps too! I joke amd tell people I've been chemically altered.....I moght be on to something😊

Initially I was prescribed Venlafaxine for hot flashes. It also helps not to be so moody. Definitely a mood stabilizer.

I was already on celexa before Tamoxifen but my onc says he prescribes celexa with Tamoxifen to combat hot flashes. I know celexa helped me with mood swings prior to T. and believe it still is on T.

May I ask how long you are taking this and if the SE you mentioned happened immediately? I have been taking Tamoxifen for less than two months. I believe minimal SE of minor joint and muscle is present for me. Also a not so common SE... as food is sometimes not appealing. Good news lost like 7 lbs
