No problem with Taxol. Got 12 treatments after AC. Only side effect for me has been loss of taste!

Taxol does not seem to cause the same nausea as A/C, although I found that the aches and pains were worse on Taxol. I took more naps on Taxol, but overall found it easier than A/C.

Taxol was a breeze!! A/C threw me for a loop. But taxol really was very easy for me. My hair began to grow back, I was not fatigued, or foggy. I definitely began to get numbing of fingertips and toes but nothing permanent. I did 12 consecutive weeks of taxol.

@A MyBCTeam Member My AC and T were "different" as I was definitely sicker immediately on AC. Infusion was Wed and I was fatigued and no appetite by the weekend. By the second weekend I was "rebuilt" and somewhat energetic...enough to ride my motorcycle but then started all over again for the next round.
On Taxol, I can be honest and say it was about #8 of 12 that hit me. It was a slower progression. Food tasted better so the 10 lbs lost on AC found its way back to my love handles! ha. My nails started to discolor on week 8. The fatigue slowly was building up. I have a 2 and 4 yr old so there was no rest for me and I got through it!. I think they are different and hope your SE's are less than mine were.
OK and some TMI now.... constipation on AC but could not stop on T! Had to eat bananas for extra potassium and sometimes take immodium.

Still no taste after 1 year and 9 months. I really am ok with it and have learned to "taste with my brain". As long as the cancer is gone, I can live with this. Could be a Zinc deficiency, and I will talk to my doctor when I see her. Life is good.
