Ok, so I'm making final decisions about my implants. I've decided on silicone because my doctor said the saline ones would show ripples under my skin, since I'm so thin. I was going to go with the tear-shaped, thinking they would look more natural. Well, now he said that the tear-shaped ones have a chance of rotating, and if they rotate, they will not look right and would have to be fixed with surgery. The round ones can rotate all day long and still be round. So, what are your thoughts?

I did a lot of research and ended up selecting round for 2 reasons. One is the shifting, didn't want to deal with rotating tear drops and surgery, although I think the risk is low. The key for me was the rare form of lymphoma that might be associated with implant. It has only been found with textured surfaced implants, all tear drops are textured. Round implants have a smooth surface. While this risk is so very minute, it still nagged at me.

And don't count on no rippling - I have rippling but it is not visible AT ALL with clothes, naked, yes I see ripples. No big deal to me.

Round is the best.. They will drop eventually and give you that natural look..it will take a few months though

@A MyBCTeam Member I had the round silicone ones put in November. I haven't had any problems at all. I am very thin too. I have been very happy with my decision. 😊

If it was me, I would get the gummy bear implants (tear drop).

I never received the option of tear shaped. Mine is round, silicone and I'm two weeks post surgery with it. Seems pretty good, and loads better then the expander.
