Question for ladies out there who had mastectomy with implant reconstruction. I have developed a couple lumps or red spots on skin of breast. Oncologist was not concerned but did not know what this was. Sometimes tender to touch and seems to be under skin. Could this be scar tissue. Anyone else have something solar?
Just another little tidbit of information for you ladies having the fat transfers, if you massage it 3 times a day for a week it tends to keep the oil cysts from forming.
I did have the same concern, mine went away before my next visit and has not returned, however I still don't know what it was or what caused it, I think it was just because my skin has always been very sensitive and the chemo made it even more so. I hope this eases your mind a little, please don't stress I'm sure your doctor will keep an eye on it at every visit if it doesn't resolve itself and if she doesn't, don't hesitate to ask or seek a second opinion: remember no one knows your body better than you and you are your own best advocate.
Best of luck,
That's awesome news!!!
@A MyBCTeam Member. I am so glad to hear that. It is so worrisome when you have to wonder about that stuff. We seem to let our imagination run wild. Good news!!!!!
Thank you all. Ultrasound went well. The lumps are sebaceous cysts and not harmful. Almost like a trapped pimple in the skin. No vascular activity. So while not harmful they are just there. I fell so much better.
