They are the new cohesive gel implants that were approved a couple years ago. They are called gummy bears because they are not fluid but rather have the consistency of the gummy bear candy. They give many more size and shape options than the old implants. I just had mine replaced with the gummy bears and love them. I look so much better.

@A MyBCTeam Member How funny! They are a fun bunch at that office. Well it is to late for me to look into the Gummy Bear implants. It is all done. I am sore and black and blue but it is done. I am not sure how I feel about the end result yet. Time will tell. One thing for sure I am sure going to have "small" boobs. Which is ok.

@A MyBCTeam Member - I'd ask Dr. Tsoi at the follow-up appointment about them.

I saw the implants his office uses while my hubby was having his staples removed last week.
It was actually a very funny moment. Two staples were imbedded and very painful so the nurse offered my husband an implant sample to squeeze. I remarked to him "Look honey, this is your chance to squeeze a boob again - you haven't had that chance in over a year now" We ALL cracked up because it was just such a funny moment.
The office knew about my BMX and had asked if I was seeing one of their docs for reconstruction when my husband first went in for a consult. That office would have been my first choice if I had opted for reconstruction.
