I recently went for my 4 year check up and told my Dr. that I have been very fatigued lately and how every bone in my body aches when I move. She sent me for a bone scan and they called me today and want to do some additional tests because there are 2 suspicious spots on my spine. Is it likely that it could spread after 4 years and a double mastectomy.
It's uncommon but not unheard of. I've heard of mets even 9 years later. Yes, it happens but it is rare. Things light up on scans for lots of reasons but be patient and get the tests done to know for sure. I've had many scares in my 6 years since diagnosis but they were always benign. I hope yours is too!
