I had 3 UTI in 3 months on Arimidex. Always had a positive urine culture. Never had a UTI before

BarbH will we ever feel normal? A new normal I guess): dr. Put me on Uribel 4x a day . I don't know about side effects. Dr. Said I may have to stay on it when back on Arimidex. I'm sure long-term there will be some! Took couple of days for relief. I have been fine since off Arimidex! Ugh.... No easy answer):

I had problems with UTI after surgery. Took antibiotics and it would just come and go. Finally it went away for good. When bladder problems arise I use OTC AZO. Works good for bladder infection. UTI though is harder to get rid of.

I did while on Arimidex. My test came back negative but felt like an infection): went to urologist. They said prob due to lack of estrogen & drying everything up. Including urethera & per tube.Put me on bladder meds. Terrible quality of life): Oncologist took me off Arimidex to calm bladder. Going to try every other day starting in October. Said it was a rare side effect. I'm scared to death to go back on it. Crazy to think of taking bladder meds to be able to take cancer meds??? You are not alone... Good luck.

I have had three utis and constant bladder irritation right from the first chemo. Never had bladder issues before. I am on very strong pain meds which keep me spaced out. One more chemo to go. I’m just trying to get through this and hope the bladder problems will subside after treatments. I have an appointment with a urologist a month and a half after final chemo. I’m told this is an unusual side effect. In my research I’ve learned that the bladder requires estrogen to function well so I’m very worried about taking estrogen blockers. My sympathy and best wishes to all experiencing side effects. This is a trip I never wanted to take.
