I was wondering about when nipple reconstruction is typically done. Is it done at the same time that the expanders are replaced by the implants or do you have to wait a while after the implants are placed? I know that each dr has different guidelines but I'm curious as to what others experiences have been.
The nipple reconstruction for me is the last surgery. My oncologist said that once the nipple is placed, the insurance starts yelling if you need additional anything. . .
Mine was about three months after the implants were put it. My PC said to wait for the implants to drop and settle so they would know where to place the nipples. Don't want then pointing up! Gads.
