The very best treatment for camouflage of scars is too seek professional laser, tattoo, or needle scar treatments. However, there are a few excellent DIY treatments for home. Do not attempt to start these until at least 4 weeks post op or when your surgeon clears it. Do not treat if there is still drainage or open areas. Gentle massage with ANY lubricant is safe and effective after the initial healing period. It should be done twice a day. The lotion or oil itself doesn't matter much. Surgical silicon is excellent. It can be ordered on line but is somewhat pricey. It stays on your scars (olds or new) for months. It can be removed for bathing and massage. It gently compresses the scar tissue and prevents keloid scars and returns scar tissue to normal skin color. Micro needling can be done after a safe healing period. It breaks down scar tissue and creates new fibrin and collagen at the site. I opted to have this done for my hysterectomy scars and I have none. And I mean NONE. Your can search me in sunlight and you will not find my scars. Always keep sunblock on your scars. Another slightly pricey product is Mediform. It is an adhesive surgical silicone. You cut it to size and apply to scar. It remains on even in the shower until it comes off on its own and you replace. Again, this is a long term treatment. It is flesh tone and hides the scar while healing it. I have had good success with this product as well.

I use coconut oil - massage in before I shower and then vitamin E oil after the shower.
Bio oil it works
Bio oil for me too. I get mine at Walgreens. It's awesome.
I am using Bio Oil. It works nicely for me. Got the first at Costco but had to order more through Groupon.
