I had 6 rounds but I am Stage IV. I understood that they look at the stage and other info they have gathered, decide how much of the drug you need, and then divide that into rounds. So the dosage in a round can vary from person to person even with the same drug. For instance I had high dose. Others have had smaller doses. I would ask how they are calculating the total dosage they believe you need. What are they basing this on. Exactly what are they hoping to accomplish. I had side effects staring at round 1, and yes the effects are cumulative. But if you will be receiving low dose that would be different than me. Sometimes they use 6 rounds so that the dosage in each round is lower and the side effects are not as bad. Sorry, but you see it is not black and white. I had 4 rounds. By the 4th round they finally had the nausea minimized. I was stage 1 with an oncotype of22.

I will start mine on Dec 7th and will only have 4 treatments. I guess cause its only at a Stage 1. I am happy about that but more worried about Radiation.
