Laval, QC

I had an immediate reconstruction with an expander. At my last visit, my PS said that the skin was not stretching enough (I have the equivalent on an "A" cup after 400cc). Instead of expanding, the expander pushes againts my ribs and can possibly damage them if we continue.
My options now are either to replace the expander with a small prosthesis and reduce my other breast OR a DIEP.
Anybody faced that decision? Any thoughts on this?

Wow @A MyBCTeam Member! It is so encouraging to read your progress! I will meet my plastic surgeon again on the 18th (with all my questions!), then I will decide if I go for the DIEP.

I am continuing to try to make my decision. I will see a PS again on the 18th. I find it is a big step.I have my own business so I have to consider the time off.
