Can you take compression pump with you on plane? Checking as luggage or medical equipment? Wearing garments do you get through security okay?

I would have your provider write a note stating the lymphedema pump is necessary due to your diagnosis of breast cancer.

I put my sleeve on after I go through security. I would think that the compression pump would be medical equipment. My husband takes his CPAP as medical equipment, he didn't have any problems.

I read a very interesting book on lymphedema, and one thing it said, that I think is extremely useful is, to make sure you do some manual lymph drainage on yourself before you use the pump. You need to make sure to open up some pathways for the lymph fluid to flow out through, otherwise you'll just end up with a ton of fluid at the shoulder and no where for it to go.
