I tried to work through chemo but I had extremely low WBC counts. I was terminated due to a need for extended medical leave. I am suing NC DHHS under the ADA Act.

I worked all through it but I was lucky enough to work from home. My job is answering phones so its not too strenuous. I did adjust my days off to Monday and Tuesday so I didn't work on the days of treatment.

I worked during my first rounds - the EC. It was the usual 3 weeks apart and my employer at the time was very accommodating. If I had to do it again, I would only work part time. Sure full time helped keep a sense of normalcy in my life but at times it was too much.

I worked 10 hour days with two hour drive. I made it through because I knew if I say at home I would think more and would get more depressed
