Hi, same exact situation as you here. It's common to have pain as you have a foreign body in your body. It is scraping in your body. That said, I'm sure the radiation has some effect, but no more than the other side effects of radiation. If not done, make sure that the port is flushed regularly. The only real thing that helped me? Drinking tons and tons and tons of water. That really helped. Let me know if you have any more questions!
