I have officially decided that I will not be taking any of the aromatase inhibitors. The serious side effects of these drugs are things that already run in my family. That doesn't mean that I will get these side effects, but it could be really bad if I did. So, decision finally made after stressing out about it for over 3 months.

I couldn't handle the arimidex either...horrible joint pain and depression. I'm thinking the pain is from chemo.

I was told that Anastrozole and Letrozole are like brother and sisters and that Exemestane is like a cousin! I had the same reactions with both of the first two and have just taken myself off Exemestane because of extreme swelling and cramping in my feet and hands. I lasted 18 months on Anastrozole, 3 months on Letrozle and 2 months on Exemestane. Seeing my Onc in a couple of weeks- he wont be impressed but I want quality of life! Sorry not sure if this answers your questions!

Okay. I've had second thoughts about aromatase inhibitors. Has anyone ever used Letrozole? Boy, is there a difference in price between Amastrozole and Letrozole!
