THe recovery isn't as long, but you will probably have many of the same restrictions....amount of weight you can lift, how high you can reach, etc. Your breasts should be a smidge smaller, as they like to over-fill the expander so you have some natural sag. The shape will be much more natural than the boxy expander. I had to wear a surgical bra for 2 weeks; much like a regular bra but with hooks in the front also. I could drive as soon as I was off narcotics, which was the next day. Very little pain. I would do it now so that you are healed for swimsuit season! You really won't be in sick mode like a BMX. But these are questions you should be asking your PS. Breast wishes to you!

I had my exchange four days ago. The tightness is less, but, as Micki said, they feel full and high. I know they will settle.

I was surprised by the discomfort where the pecs connect to the sternum. That last two or three days like a big fill.

I do have a drain as one side is not cooperating. He said it should come out next week. Producing about 40 ml a day right now.

I have weight restrictions, but have range of motion I had worked up to. I wore a pull on shirt on day two. I was able to blow dry my hair on day three.

It is much better than the BMX sick mode, but it is not a little thing. I will be out of school for 7 days. The softness compared to the expanders is wonderful.

It's far less taxing than the original surgery. At first, they will feel full and ride high, but they do settle over time and feel "normal."
