Has anyone else been called back because their BRCA cell sample was insufficient for testing? Or is it just the old lab tech in me that figures they dropped the sample? Heck, I know from experience that it happens 😈
Well, I got the call Thursday and went back to my gyn's office on Monday to give another sample, so I can wait another 2-3 weeks. I had hoped to have results by my D&C on 5/16

I had the saliva, at the University of Miami they have a genetics department that does all the testing. I was told that there was a possibility it could come back inconclusive but not likely. Came back negative.
My test was a saliva sample. My daughters both had blood draws. The nurse told us there is a greater chance of insufficient cells with saliva, so they now mainly do blood. Sorry you have to wait more.
Mine were saliva samples as well - would much feather give a blood sample.
@A MyBCTeam Member - my sample was insufficient for testing. There weren't enough cells. I used to be a lab tech so it makes sense to me.
Inconclusive means that they can't definitive results from the data they gathered.
