Thanks everyone! As an FYI, my cycle returned 14 weeks post-chemo!

I should also add that since you are only 29, your periods will most probably return at some point. I was told that Tamoxifen can make your periods irregular.

I am also waiting to see if my periods will return or whether the chemo has put me into menopause. I am 43. My last chemo was at the end of January and still no period. I think at my age it's more likely than not that I am headed toward menopause (that is what my oncologist said), but my doctor said it could take up to 2 years for my periods to return, if ever. I am having daily hot flushes, but they are subsiding (I am also on Tamoxifen now).

That is great MamaH that chemo did not effect your fertility. It's a double-edged sword for me, because menopause would actually be better for my cancer (since I am estrogen receptive), however, I don't want to deal with all the side-effects of early menopause: weight gain, thinning hair, thinning bones, vaginal atrophy, joint and muscle pain, etc...

My period started about 10 months after chemo ended. And I was 46 years old. Give it some time. I'm sure your body will take some time to get back on track.

My periods returned after a year, and while I as on Tamoxifen. The cramps come and go.
