Is there a specific kind of deodorant to wear? Or can you just use any kind? I have been told differing things and I would just like some input on the subject....
My oncologist said if antiperspirant & deodorant made a difference. I'd have underarm cancer not breast cancer.
My radiologist said any deodorent is actually ok. The newer studies show that the metals etc they were originally concerned about pose no risk. He did suggest an un scented one and to not switch brands during treatment unless necessary as your skin becomes so sensitive. He said the same with detergents also. I have done some research and seen the same information that he gave me, but each radiologist is different so it's best to check with what they suggest.
I have been using the natural deodorant from Lush. It comes in a block and it works well.
I switched over to Toms natural deodorant. It smells good, and works great. Plus it doesn't have all of the aluminum and such in it.
There are deodorants sold in Target, etc. that have the pink ribbon on the case-for breast cancer women and those hoping to avoid it. It's a name brand just a special formulation. May be Dove I'm sorry I can't remember exactly which one
Hi, Which Underarm Deodorant Is The Best After Radiotherapy Treatment? Thank You
I'm Wondering If Anyone Else Has Had Issues With Underarm Odor. Told To Use Aluminum Free, Not Antiperspirant But It's Not Working.
Hope You Have A Nice Day! My Question Is: November 2024 I Had 5 Radiotherapy Session, And Since A Few Months My Underarm Is Red?
