Mine were in for 6 weeks

My PS told me that he usually does not leave them in over six weeks. I had one out at 2 weeks and the other at 4 weeks. Depends on how much fluid is being produced and the amount in your drains each day. I think I read on here though that some have had them longer. If they take them too early you can get a build up of fluid under the skin and they have to put in a needle to draw it off. They are pain and was happy to get them out though.

The drains are in for a good reason. Its to catch the drainage so you don't get an infection. Your PS will pull them once the drainage is down to approximately 20cc in a 24-hour period. I have actually pulled on out in my sleep. Good thing it was going to be pulled that day anyway.

I had 4 drains and got rid of 2 of them day 5, another one day 8 and last one was day 14.
