I was overwhelmed with that decision. I had my BMX and permanent reconstruction at the same time. Finally, I told him that I wanted to look normal in clothes, not scare anyone who saw me naked, didn't want anyone to think "did you see the hooters on that old chick"!
Them I asked him to give me expert, experienced, advice. He did. I followed his suggestions. The results are great!

I had my exchange surgery 10 days ago. It was by far the easiest to recover from. I have the round silicone implants. They feel normal. I was so glad to get rid of the turtle shells on my chest. I got 800cc implants and they are a large B or small C on me. Smaller than I was. The compression bra that I wear for 3 weeks is the most annoying. I didn't have chemo or radiation.

I originally went with a silicone implant but just a week ago replaced it with a saline. The reasoning was mostly about size and shape, the saline looked more like my real breast and am very very happy with how it turned out. They tell me there maybe some rippling with saline but I really do not give a crap, not going to be flashing these babies at anyone else anyway!

I went with what my pre-baby and breastfeeding boobs were like - B cups. They fit my body size. At first, they rode high and I was very self conscious about everyone being able to tell they were "fake." After a couple of years they "settled" into a much more natural position. Silicone, round implants. They will feel like a million bucks compared to the expanders!

my sister-in-law had silicone too and she had a leak so when she had them redone she did saline too.
both looked great but she said the saline felt lighter.
She does not have any rippling.
