After my third fill I noticed something poking out on the side of the expander. Its looks like at times it's going to come thru the skin. I've been told it's just a crease in the expander and it'll smooth out w more fills. I've got a call into my PS. Has anyone else experienced this?
@A MyBCTeam Member my left expander looks like that under my arm. I have 1 fill left on Wednesday and I'm at 400cc. The last fill of 50cc seems to have really pushed this out. My ps does not seem at all concerned. It's just very uncomfortable and makes sleep next to impossible. I'm counting down the days till the exchange! Good luck!
The fill port can move around but rest assured the fluid can only go where it needs to, to support your implants. At one fill session my fill port was at the back side of my breast area. I was concerned that I would end up with a breast on my back.... Not really, but it was funny odd how they move around.
Unfortunately for me, I was unable to do reconstruction with the tissue expander. I got a staph infection and sensitivity to material in the expander...so after all the pain and suffering, it had to come out. During radiation treatment, I had a 2nd degree burn and now cannot do reconstruction.
@A MyBCTeam Member I had a 50cc fill today bringing me to 450cc total. My ps say that's a C cup. He also said the spot that is so uncomfortable for me is scar tissue and told me to massage it. (Actually, he said knead it like dough! Lol I told him just touching it is painful!) He said at my exchange he would work on it and that it would get better. Hope your reconstruction is going well.
I think part of the problem is the seams are on the outside. On my last fill i could hear a pop pop sound and it was the saline filling the bottom of my expand rout.
