I prefer an over-the-counter remedy but am also open to prescriptions. I have this mess all over my upper body, in my nose, on my head, and the bumps itch and burn.
I experienced some acne breakout with Taxol. It seemed to subside. Frequent washing and good moisturizing cream helped me.
Good luck @A MyBCTeam Member. I hope you can find something that works that won't make you quite so uncomfortable.
I think they may switch the Taxol out with something similar to see if that will stop these side effects. Will report back after this Thursday's dr. appt.
I had something similar but it was mostly on my legs and back. I had some dots on my chest, neck, arms, and a few on my face. My doc called it a rash. I took Claritin and it helped a little, but it didn't go away completely until treatment was over. The itch was intense! Good luck!
It doesn't sound like acne, it sounds like a rash. Most acne doesnt itch and burn. Have you discussed with your oncologist? Maybe try Benadryl and see if it's an allergic reaction to one of the drugs.
