I was already into menopause. I was on anti-hormonal medication which has a 5% probability of causing uterine cancer. I also had a history of uterine fibroids and my gynecologist was very agreeable to do a prophylactic total hysterectomy and bilateral ooperectomy.

I have been on Lupron for the past few months as well as Arimidex. I asked my oncologist about surgery vs Lupron and he said he would like to hold off anymore surgeries right now. I had a diep bmx in September and will have a revision procedure this Thursday as well as a second surgery in February. So far the Arimidex and Lupron are doable. I am 46 and showed no signs of menopause before BC.
