Hi all, I am being sent in a circle as I am trying to get 3d nipple tattooing at a different plastic surgery department than the one that did my reconstruction. My insurance company is asking for a pre-cert but the new place won't give it as I didn't have original work there and the plastic surgeon who did my reconstruction won't do it as his office is not doing the tattooing. Sometimes insurance doesn't cover out of state because they aren't in et work!

May I ask who you are getting your tattoos from? You're in Philly, so have you considered/are you going to Vinnie Myers? He is in Baltimore, but from what I've seen, his work might be worth the drive for you.
I'm not sure what a "pre-cert" is. But I'd hope that whomever your tattoo artist is, if he/she has alot of experience with medical tattooing, maybe he/she could provide that for you, or give you pointers on how to get that from your doctor.
