ANTIPERSPIRANT AND CANCER

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭
New Braunfels, TX

Does anyone know whether antiperspirants have been connected to breast cancer. I read it somewhere and wonder if anyone else has heard that. I've always worn it. I live in Texas after all. Interested to hear if anyone knows about this.

If you are concerned, you can get non-aluminum, natural salt deodorants.

My oncologist said there is not enough evidence to prove this. I have decided not to use anti- perspirant .

I have heard that it does. However, there are suppose to be some "safe" ones you can use. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what they are. I have not used antipersperiant/deodorant since I was diagnosed in July 2012.
