Thanks ladies, good advice. I decided I'm going to cut it short today because I am also sick of it all over the place. Then maybe this week buzzing. I think a slow transition might be easier even if it is only a few days apart.

The hardest part was losing my hair. We had a head shaving party. My sister and I got our heads shaved at the same time. She did that to support me. My son cut the length and my brother shaved my head. for me it was easier to lose peach fuzz then what it would have been to lose it in clumps. I had a wig that only wore 3 times and I just wore bandanas. you will find what is best for you.

The anticipation is actually worse than once its over. I just did the deed, shaved my head, cried the tears and it was done. Rather than watching bald patches show up , which they do! I got cute wigs. It was hard but within a year I had enough hair to need a trim!.

I lost my hair on my 2nd chemo therapy session. I found it better to cut it short and when I started to lose it and when it gradually fell out it was less painful. I hope that helps.

thanks for all the support. I just got it cut super short tonight and it looks and feels amazing. I thought it would be a lot harder than what it was. I think since it was annoying me from falling out, made it a little easier. I'm hoping I can go all week with it and hopefully buzz it on the weekend. My wig comes in this week sometime. I wonder what my students are going to think tomorrow :)
