I want to know if the uncomfortable pulling and muscle ache along the scars ever gets better? I had two mastectomies in 9 weeks because the first surgeon messed up and left me with tissue, open incision, and sloppy closings. When I lift something or take a deep breath it pulls tight across my chest and under my arms. I can't say that it is painful but it is uncomfortable and on these hot summer days has been more annoying. I am two years out so don't know what to think.

I agree with BarbBeck. Exercise is really important. Stretching, all of it. Start small and work your way up. You can do it.

I had both repeated 9 weeks later from a bad surgeon. Moreissue has to be taken away to compensate for what he did. I can be totally relaxed like now and I feel it every breath across my chest and especially pulling under my arms. I had to have a longer second incision so goes from my sternum in the center of my chest, under my arms, and then continues around my back and up towards my spine.

I am allergic to everything they tried on me. My doc and therapists said it was the worst scar tissue they had ever encountered. I had prednisone shots between my rib cage to try and help my breathing. Still only 1/4 inch when inhaling and exhaling so breathing from my belly.

From my experience, time always helps with scars from incision lines. Are you using any silicone sheeting to help with scarring? It is expensive but really works if you are religious in its application every day! The Mayo Clinic gave me a product called Epidermis. It can be used over and over, rinsing it under running water in between uses.
My plastic surgeon has suggested massing my implant everyday while moving it around.
I am sure your will get better!

I also get very uncomfortable if I have my top on a cold breeze hits me like my air conditioner. I have to cover my skin.
