I was on AC for 4 treatments, and now 3 of 4 into Taxol. My dr said it would fall out 2-3 weeks after my first treatment. 2 1/2 weeks in I knew it was thinning and little pieces were falling out. (I had already cut my waist long blond hair very short then colored it purple) I got sick of looking at my pillow first thing every morning waiting for it to be covered in hair and we buzzed it all off. Gave me a little control instead of waiting.
Now, I only wear a wig once or twice a week and more to give my boyfriend a cancer break so he doesn't have to be reminded of it with me bald. I forget myself. I wear a hat so I don't stick to the leather sofa or if I'm cold and a hat or bandana when I am outside or have my sunroof open so I don't burn my head.

Thank you ladies. 7 days tomorrow since my first TC treatment. Looks like my wig and head coverings were not a waste of money. So, Saturday will probably be my last haircut for a while. Here's hoping I also lose all the nuisance hair:) I hope everyone is having a good day!

Never thought of dying my hair a funky color. That was an excellent idea.

I did.. Had TC and AC, lost it all, but I have BEAUTIFUL hair now! I had 8 rounds..they told me it would start falling out 14~ 17 days after 1st treatment, mine stayed through the first 3 treatments then fell out...I won't lie, it was traumatic, but my 2 teenage kids and hubby were amazing and told me I was beautiful without my hair, more so because of what I went through...I only wore my wig there times, otherwise it was a hat so I would get sunburn or just plain old bald...good luck xoxox

I have heard that too. Now every time my head tingles, I think I will come away with a fist of hair - not yet. I am going to have a hard time with my hairdresser on Saturday - he insists on drying my hair even though I haven't done so in 15 years. This time I will insist and win that battle!
