Lisa, thanks for your reply. My cholesterol has always been good & I had it checked 2 weeks ago before starting femara. My complaint is joint pain in arms and shoulders, and wrist. Also under my left breast, but it feels like muscle strain. I also had my bone density test today because I have not had one in three years. Will give femara the old college try and hope the aches let up.
@A MyBCTeam Member, the main side effects that I experienced from Femara were mild joint pain and elevated cholesterol levels. Be aware of the amount of fat and cholesterol you are eating and be sure to have your blood cholesterol levels checked by your physician. If you have had radiation, there is now a link to heart disease and radiation, so checking your cholesterol and being aware is very important! I hope this helps...hugs, Lisa
@A MyBCTeam Member....How are you doing now?
