I just began chemo this week. Next day woke with ears ringing. Sure hope its temporary.

I have ringing, but I don't notice it a ton. It got worse when I had to take Sudafed for awhile due to a bad sinus infection (sudafed can do that).

My oncologist said that they are doing more research on the effect of Taxol and chemo on the central nervous system. I forget what he called it, but it's basically a residual effect from chemo that can cause everything from ringing ears to feeling off balance, etc.

Mine isn't so noticeable that it really bothers me, it only becomes truly bothersome when I'm on something like Sudafed that can exacerbate the issue.

yes, I have had it ever since I had Chemo. Went to see my doc who claimed it was probably not related. I do not know the cause, but I always suspected its as chemo related. That was 3 years ago and the ringing and hearing loss remains. I have managed to get used to the ringing but the hearing loss is getting to be a problem.

Yep...had that and I had a film over the eyes all through the chemo and Herceptin treatments. Am better with that now though. :o)
