I'm stage 3 with BRACA gene. I need all the help I can get! I will be taking Tamox for 10 years even with side effects, eat 10 grams of white button mushrooms and drink 3 cups of green tea everyday. Plus eat broccoli sprouts, pomegranates, fish a few times a week. Plant based, alkaline diet is what I'm doing focusing on anti-breast cancer diet. 30 minutes on treadmill 5-6 times a week. If I have any energy left after kids go the bed, I do 15-20 minute yoga. Oh yea....there are a quite a few supplements I'm taking too. That's best I can do. The rest is up to God. Hugs to you all!

True Andrea, so that is why we are closely watched by our gynecologists. There are risks in life and I don't want BC to come back. BC and ovarian Cancer are related and some women get cysts and need a hysterectomy. We are closely monitored by our oncologists and surgeons. My gynecologists is a top rated doctor regarding ovarian CA. Everyone makes choices in life and I choose to live a long life. All the other drugs related to tamoxifen have side effects. I agree its not fair but I was stage 3A and will be taking tamoxifen for 10 years.

I have a book to read to eat healthy regarding cancer as well. But, I would not stop taking tamoxifen. What my oncologist, surgeon, gynecologist say is what I follow. My cancer was more aggressive and 8cm when found. I make changes in my life but not the medicine!
With a 20% chance of it returning I don't take any chances. But, I live my life wiser and better educated now. I want to be here to see my grandchildren one day. Oy, my son is only 13 gotta long way to go.
