I am curious if this is a side effect which concerns me because when I saw my oncologist just a month ago she told me all my labs were fine and everything looked normal. Then I had this scan because I was having pain in my upper right quadrant similar to the pain I had 2 years ago when I had surgery for a biliary cyst adenoma on my liver and multiple hepatic cysts on my liver. Yes, @A MyBCTeam Member, I was diagnosed with pleural effusion and was hospitalized with pleurisy for 4 days in September of 2009. It was the most painful experience, trying to breathe, that I have ever had. I did not have chemo, but I did have 35 radiation treatments. Every breath I took I had to yawn to take a deep breath, it was such a painful illness. I hope that all goes well for you. Hugs, Lisa
Oh Lisa, I'm so sorry about your experience! I'm still waiting to find out what exactly is going on with my right lung. I had a left breast lumpectomy. I will have some blood work done this week and should know the results soon after. My oncologist has assured me it's not from the chemo or radiation. Thank you for posting.....it's so helpful to know from someone who's been there!
