I bought one of the t-shirts that says "Yes they are fake, the real ones tried to kill me". For me humor is a big deal but I am always afraid I may offend someone with it. I think whatever gets you through this should be alright.

The Knob: A woman visited a plastic surgeon who told her of a new procedure "the knob," where a small knob is placed on top of a womens head and could be turned to produce effects of a facelift. Of course the woman wanted the knob. Over the course of the years, the woman tightened the knob, the effects were wonderful, the woman stayed looking young and vibrant. After 15 years, the woman returned to the doctor with 2 problems. "All these years, everything has been working just fine. I've had to turn the knob many times, and I've always loved the results. But now I've developed two annoying problems: First, I have these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them." The doctor looked closely at her and said, "Those aren't bags, those are your breasts." She said, "Oh. Well that explains the goatee."

I am working on a Stand-up schtick for a local open mic night. During treatment, I kept a blog and the most frequent comments were in praise of my sense of humor.
I had a left mastectomy, So, just for starters, whenever someone asks how I am I tell them "I am ALLLLL RIGHT!" ....with a hand flourish down my right side.

I'm the sort of woman whose bra is half empty, not half full...LOL!

I am quite large breasted wearing a "J" cup. I did not have reconstruction as my surgery was done rather rapidly so I got a silicone prosthetic. I have had many people ask if I am going to get reconstruction since I ride a Harley and they are concerned that the implant may slip during riding. I just tell them that I don't know but at my age (56) I am way past needing the breat for nursing, I have a deadly weapon if ever attacked since it is so heavy I can hit someone with it or even smother them if I have a chance and when I enter wet T-shirt contests, I will only take half the prize!
