I finished radiation treatments on Dec 6 after having had a lumpectomy and chemo. Most of the soreness from radiation had gone, but now I am sore again and my ribs are also tender. Anyone else have this happen?
Thanks, @A MyBCTeam Member. I believe that your discomfort is worse than mine. My ribs are tender to the touch and achy near my incision scar, but it doesn't hurt to inhale. It does hurt to lie on that side. Not happy to hear that you have had this for so long. Take care of yourself.
I have had rib pain for two years now, and both my oncologist and surgeon told me no - it can't be from the breast cancer treatment! But the pain is on the same side as my cancer was... It hurts to inhale deeply, or lie on my right side, reach and sometimes to even touch my ribs. Thanks for asking this question @A MyBCTeam Member I don't like think others are suffering, but now I don't have to worry that something else is going on, and my instincts are likely accurate! Heating pad seems to at least ease and distract me from feeling the pain, and a warm bath helps me, too. Pain meds don't touch it.
My left shoulder & armpit are still tender and "weak". I finished radiation right after Thanksgiving 2012. Working on getting my shoulder stronger.
This happened to me also. It comes and goes Just when u think yes no more pain but than it is back. It took a while to start feeling better. Just be patient I know not what u wanted to hear. Good luck
Yes It seems I can move wrong or lift something or just about anything and i will get sore, It drives me crazy, so many side effect that are probibly life long. but thank god I made it thru and Im alive...
