Have you been experiencing less side effects from Femara, especially bone aches? I've been on anastrozole for 2.5 years and the pains in my hip and leg bones have gotten worse. I am going to tell my oncologist next time about this problem. I just wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience.
I take Femara and don't have the side effects. I take it before I go to bed at night.
I was put on Femara last April & stayed on it until 3 months ago when I was switched to Arimidex. Both drugs make my joints & bones ache. I'm lucky if I can make a fist in the morning when I wake up. I'm ready to call my oncologist to see about trying something else. Does everyone have to take a calcium & vitamin D supplement? Are there other supplements that are helpful. I also learned not to take the Calcium that is made with soy because that promotes estrogen. Need the one that is made with oyster. I feel like I've aged many years just this last year.
I was taken off Arimidex due to terrible side effects that I was experiencing, and put on Femara...thank goodness, I have not had any of those same effects from the Femara. Of course, everyone is different, so each experience is different also. I hope that you find one that will fit you with minimal side effects...best of luck, and hugs, Lisa!
